How do you know it’s clean after you’ve cleaned?

With Lumitester Smart you get an immediate answer—it measures the amount of A3 in just a few seconds. Similar products on the market can only measure ATP, but Lumitester Smart also measures AMP and ADP, providing far more reliable test results. The device is compact, and measurements are taken directly on site.

What are A3, ATP, AMP, and ADP?

A3 is our collective term for ATP (adenosine triphosphate), AMP (adenosine monophosphate), and ADP (adenosine diphosphate). ATP exists in all living cells; when a cell dies, ATP breaks down into ADP and AMP. A3 is therefore a reliable indicator of organic contamination, such as food residues. Organic contaminants feed bacteria and thus increase the risk of harmful bacterial growth. By measuring A3—which indicates both living and dead cells—you get a much more reliable method than an ATP meter that only indicates living cells.

How do you test how clean a surface is?

LuciPac A3 are swabs/test sticks used to sample the object (surfaces or liquids) to be checked, and the sample is then measured with Lumitester Smart. After just ten seconds, the test result is ready and can be stored in the meter, which can hold up to 2,000 results. The results can then be easily transferred to a computer for further processing.

Why do verification tests?

Because organic residues left after cleaning can lead to the growth of harmful bacteria, it’s important to know whether your cleaning efforts are sufficient. This is especially crucial in sensitive environments such as healthcare, food handling, and preschool settings.
