Effective, long-lasting protection against moss, algae, and lichen on roofs

When treated with Grön-Fri, growth dies immediately. On weather-exposed surfaces such as roofs, rain will gradually rinse away the residue without any need for post-treatment. Algae are normally gone within a year, and lichen after about two years. On painted vertical surfaces (e.g., façades), the surface usually needs to be washed for the residue to disappear completely. If the surface will be washed, let Grön-Fri work for at least 24 hours first.

Grön-Fri also has a preventive effect because nutrients on the surface are neutralized; new growth can only establish once new nutrients have deposited on the surface. On roofs, it generally takes up to four years before new growth becomes visible again; on shaded, exposed areas it may return sooner. Grön-Fri is biodegradable and does not adversely affect building materials.

Instructions for use

Spray or brush Grön-Fri onto the surface until it is wet. Avoid treating frosted surfaces or if significant rain is expected within 12 hours. Cover nearby flowers and plants, as they may be damaged. Collected rainwater from roofs treated with Grön-Fri should not be used for irrigation or released into garden ponds.

Dry, absorbent surfaces can be moistened with water about an hour before treatment to reduce the amount of Grön-Fri needed. When treating roofs, remove moss beforehand. When spraying, respiratory protection is recommended since the mist can be irritating. Protective gloves and safety goggles should be used.

Grön-Fri works excellently on all types of surfaces, including roofs, façades, ground surfaces, fences, decking, stairs, walls, and awnings. It can be used on both painted and untreated materials such as wood, render, stone, brick, concrete, fibre cement, sheet metal, roofing felt, plastic, textiles, and more.
